Ronald James Fowler Sr., 68, passed away Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Matt Evans officiating. Mr. Fowler will lie in state at Shumate-Faulk funeral home until 10:30 a.m. Monday.
He was reared by his Grannie and Grand Pa Fowler, and was married to Judy Fowler for 47 years. Mr. Fowler was a retired tech. sergeant with the United States Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ronald "Jim" Fowler Jr. and wife, Star, of Garner and David Fowler and wife, Sheila, of Warsaw; a daughter, Barbara Best and husband, Tim, of Mount Olive; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and three sisters.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers.
