GRACIE L. JACOBS

Feb. 20, 2008-July 19, 2009

TAMPA, Fla. -- Gracie LeaAnne Jacobs, born Feb. 20, 2008, in Washington, Pa., was granted her angel wings July 19.

Gracie touched all who knew her, in life and in death, and her gentle spirit lives on through her precious gift of organ donation.

Although Gracie spoke mostly the toddler's language, her sparkling blue eyes and beautiful smile melted the hearts of those around her, and her mischievous thoughts were always heard.

With Gracie's passing, we are reminded that her life is one to be celebrated. We will miss her every day, but she will always remain forever in our hearts. We are so thankful for the gift of Gracie and that she was Morgan's best friend and baby sister.

Gracie is survived by her parents Noah Jacobs of Dunn and Brittany Jacobs of Tampa, Fla.; sister Morgan Jacobs of Tampa, Fla.; paternal grandparents, David and Mary Charles Jacobs of Mount Olive and Diana Aycock and Gary Shanle of Goldsboro; maternal grandparents, John and Jennifer Morgan of Goldsboro and Tracy Morgan of Tampa, Fla.; great-grandparents, Cole and Mary Jacobs of Mount Olive, Estella Haas of Santa Rosa, Ca., and Paul and Evelyn Morgan of Cresco, Iowa; aunts, Tara Holland (Uncle Ed) of Raleigh and Ellen Morgan of Goldsboro; uncles, Dillon and Cole Jacobs of Mount Olive, Michael Morgan of Trinity, Fla., and Lee Morgan of Goldsboro; and cousins, Julianna and Mariah Holland of Raleigh. Gracie is also survived by many family members and special friends too numerous to mention.

To celebrate Gracie's life, there will be a memorial service Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park chapel, with pastor Danny Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of Gary Shanle and Diana Aycock, 205 Mint Court, Goldsboro, immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Transplant Foundation, c/o Gift of Life, Donor Program, 401 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia, P.A., 19123.
