BARBARA B. "BOB" SMITH

PIKEVILLE -- Barbara "Bob" Bartlett Smith, 75, left this world Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory with visitation afterwards. Interment will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Barbara was born Oct. 26, 1933, to Lloyd and Marie Bartlett. She was the second of four children, having already been preceded in death by her brothers, Hadley and C.B. Bartlett. She was a dedicated employee of G.E. for more than 30 years
She had explored many areas, from Russia to our own North Carolina Mountains, which she dearly loved. She is now resting in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
She left behind a circle of family and friends, including her daughter and son-in-law, LaVerne and Buddy Robinson; three granddaughters, Danielle, Nicole and Sarah Ruth all of LaGrange; a sister, Betty West of Belfast; a sister-in-law, Jean Bartlett of Stantonsburg; and her special friend, Glenn Moon of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends other times at the home of her daughter, LaVerne Robinson, 4858 Dolly Lane in LaGrange.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to organizations that help the poor and needy.
