JOHNNIE V. PICKETT

A celebration of life for Johnnie Vester Pickett, 42, who passed Saturday in Orlando, Fla., will be held Saturday at noon at Original Tabernacle of Prayer for All People, 1005 S. John St., Goldsboro, with apostle Lawrence Bogier officiating. He will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.

He was born July 15, 1967, in Wayne County to elder Albertha Davis Pickett and the late Lawrence E. Pickett Sr. He was the widower of Francis Farrow Pickett.

He was a Goldsboro High School graduate of the class of 1986.

He leaves precious memories with his mother, elder Albertha Pickett; three daughters, Alexus Farrow, Leah Pickett and Angelia Johnson; two sisters, Lena Durham and Jacqueline King; three brothers, Lawrence Pickett Jr., elder William Pickett and Arthur Pickett; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

There will be a wake tonight from 6 to 7 at Rhodes Funeral Home chapel.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his mother, elder Albertha Pickett at 219 Randall Lane, Apt. 5, Goldsboro.

Arrangements are being handled by Rhodes Funeral Home of Goldsboro.
