Willie Ray Benton, 50, 511 S. Pineview Ave., died Wednesday at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at 2 p.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ, 700 W. Ash St. Dr. David Atkinson will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
The body may be viewed today, Aug. 9, 2009, from 3 until 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., with the family receiving friends there from 6 until 7 p.m. All other times the family will receive friends at 903-A Carter Drive.
Mr. Benton is survived by his mother, Villie A. Benton of Goldsboro; six sisters, Helen Fredrick, Annie (Allen) Anderson, Evangelist Lois Crawford, Flonnie (Ervin) Toomer, Shirley Benton and Barbara (Leon) McKinney of Goldsboro; three brothers, Minister Roger (Rosalyn) Benton, James (Shelia) Benton and JB (Vanessa) Benton, all of Goldsboro; mother-in-law, Louise King; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; special friend, Leslie King; and other relatives and friends.
