ALBERTSON -- Gloria Carol Holmes Griffin, 56, 890 Woodland Church Road, died early Thursday at her residence.
The funeral was held at 7 p.m. Saturday at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, followed by visitation, with the Rev. Don Craft officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. today at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
At times other than the visitation, the family will receive at the residence.
Gloria was the daughter of the late Carson and Bertha "Tom" Williams Holmes.
She is survived by her husband, Terry M. Griffin; a son, Kenneth Thompson Jr. and wife, Tania, of Goldsboro; two daughters, Melissa Griffin Stroud and husband, Leslie, of Deep Run and Dina Griffin Deering and husband, Phillip, of Beulaville; four grandchildren, Cody Griffin, Lauren Thompson, Christopher Smith Thompson and Jenna Deering; two sisters, Marie H. Holmes of Albertson and Gerlene H. Kennedy and husband, Warren, of Pink Hill; two brothers, Joseph Ray Holmes and wife, Patty, of the Belfast section of Goldsboro and Jackie Carson Holmes and wife, Kay, of Pink Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Tyndall Funeral Home is serving the family.
