WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Joseph "Bud" Simmons Jr., 82, formerly of Goldsboro, died May 14 at Providence Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday with visitation at 11 a.m. and the service at noon at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy B. Sim-mons, and three daughters.
Dunn & Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
