RUBY P. CHERRY

Ruby Price Cherry, 86, 907 Pittman St., died Monday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wayne Nelson and the Rev. Pete Bass officiating. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery.

Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Betty Parrish Price, wife of the late William M. "Bill" Cherry and mother of the late Sandra K. Grady.

She is survived by her grandson, Charles Fields of Goldsboro; a brother, Jimmy Price of Micro; two sisters, Edith Strickland of Smithfield and Peggy Crumpler of Micro; and numerous nieces, nephews and caregivers.

Family members will greet friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times will be at the home.
