HELEN ANDERSON FENNELL HINSON

MOUNT OLIVE -- Helen Anderson Fennell Hinson, 92, died early Sunday morning at Autumn Village of Beulaville.

Services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Chapel in Mount Olive with visitation immediately following. Mrs. Anne Bartlett will conduct the service. Committal and burial will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. At times when not at the funeral home, the family will receive friends at the home of Lorrie and Blossom Holloman at 188 Brock/Whitman Lane, Mount Olive.

She was the widow of Walter Bernice Fennell and James Franklin Hinson and had been employed as a seamstress at several garment factories and was a retired homemaker.

Survivors include a son, George Thomas Fennell of Beulaville; four daughters, Ida Mae Mitchell of Norfolk, Va., Joyce Marie Brock of Kenansville, Martha Ann Fennell of Aiken, S.C., and Lorrie Holloman of Mount Olive; five sisters, Eva Combs of Naples, Fla., Edna Strickland of Suffolk, Va., Eunice Overton of Grantham, Inez McCroskey of Greensboro, and Doris Dickerson of Raleigh; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her two husbands, Mrs. Hinson was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lela Jones Anderson; a grandchild; a sister, Gladys A. Lee; and two brothers, John Robert Anderson and Edward Gene Anderson.
