Spring Creek pounds out 21 runs against Greene Central

SNOW HILL -- Sawyer Smith delivered a three-hit, three-RBI performance at the plate -- and earned the mound win -- as Spring Creek hammered Greene Central, 21-8, on Wednesday afternoon.
Smith surrendered two unearned runs on three hits. Landon Smothers hurled two innings of relief.
Kaden Geelen (two RBI), Hunter Walker (two RBI) and Levi Miller provided two hits apiece. Matt Dupuy connected on a two-RBI double.
Kane Geelen, Casey Whitfield, Jordan Ammons and Scott Edmundson also contributed offensively in the mercy-rule affair.
GC used five pitchers.
The Gators (1-1 overall) and Rams meet again next Monday.
