Powell, Waddell power Aycock softball past Hunt

WILSON -- Tamika Powell and Taylor Waddell pounded out three hits apiece during Charles B. Aycock's season-opening, 9-1 thumping of Hunt on Tuesday afternoon.
Connor Vinson, Allison Shingleton and Cassandra Lassiter provided two hits apiece.
Allie Phillips earned the pitching win.
The Golden Falcons (1-0 overall) entertain North Lenoir on Thursday. Game time is 5 p.m.
