Gators beat Rebels, set up date with Princeton

PRINCETON -- North Duplin couldn't mount enough offense to upend Spring Creek during an 18-25, 20-25, 11-25 defeat in the first round of the Carolina 1-A Conference tournament on Monday.
Chesney Brown had six kills for the Rebels and Anna Lee Thornton had five assists.
The Rebels concluded the year 6-11 overall.
Spring Creek faces Princeton today at James Kenan.
