Wayne Country Day capped regular-season play with a 25-19, 25-17, 25-22 triumph over Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference foe Pope John Paul II on Tuesday afternoon.
The teams meet again Friday in the CPIC tournament semifinals at Freedom Christian Academy in Fayetteville.
Senior Rachel Uzzell had 23 assists and eight aces. Her fellow seniors -- Tiffany Larsen and Sarah Crooks -- combined for 17 kills.
"It only proved fitting that the three seniors all had a really solid match for their last home volleyball match," WCDS second-year head coach Steven Mau said. "We had a great crowd and they were given a great show as Pope John Paul came ready to play tonight."
The Chargers rose to 10-8 overall this season.
