Preps digest: JV, middle schools

* Boys' soccer: Wayne Country Day 3, Faith Christian of Rocky Mount 2 -- Hunter Bryson scored two goals in the final five minutes to give Wayne Country Day a 3-2 victory over Faith Christian. Nehemiya Shaw had a goal and an assist for the Chargers.

Middle schools

* Boys' soccer: Rosewood 3, Grantham 0 -- Geovanni Abril scored a goal and dished out two assists to lead Rosewood to a 3-0 triumph over Grantham on Tuesday. Tyler Jordan and Cameron Daniels each found the net, and Logan Mitchell tallied an assist. Rosewood (8-3-0 overall) travels to Eastern Wayne on Monday.

* Volleyball: Rosewood 3, Grantham 0 -- Jessica Graham had four aces to help Rosewood remain undefeated on the year with a 25-8, 25-23, 25-19 conquest of Grantham on Tuesday evening. Rosewood will play Eastern Wayne on Monday.

* Volleyball: Greenwood 3, Brogden 0 -- Greenwood defeated Brogden 25-9, 25-14, 25-21 on Tuesday. Alana Kazar and Jazmyne Yelverton led the Lady T-Birds with six aces each. Alyssa Jackson had two kills, and Yuka Akiyama had three aces and two digs. Greenwood improved to 6-5 on the season.

* Soccer: Greenwood 1, Brogden 0 -- Tyler Scott scored the lone goal for the T-Birds. Kevin Availa-Huerta had the assist. Javon Labella had nine saves as goalie. Greenwood improved to 6-5 on the season.
