INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The University of Mount Olive at King (Tenn.) University men's basketball game on Jan. 3, 2015, will be nationally televised at noon on CBS Sports Network.

CBS and the NCAA made the joint announcement Monday.

"We are excited for this opportunity to play on national television against an outstanding program in King University," UMO head coach and alum Joey Higginbotham said. "Our guys will be extremely excited and both teams will play extremely hard as they always do."

The UMO-King contest is part of the network's NCAA Division II basketball game-of-the-week series. The Trojans' regular-season finale against Barton in 2008 was nationally televised. The UMO women made a national TV appearance in 2010 at Conference Carolinas foe Limestone (S.C.) College.

Higginbotham's club will play a 28-game schedule that tips off Nov. 14 at the Barton College 45-Second Classic. UMO will face Peach Belt member USC Aiken and South Atlantic Conference member Carson-Newman (Tenn.).

The Trojans open the home portion of their schedule Nov. 21 with the 49th annual Pickle Classic. Joining UMO is Barton, Bluefield State (W. Va.) and Virginia State University.

Mount Olive logged a 19-19 worksheet in 2013-14 and earned a share of the Conference Carolinas regular-season championship. The Trojans fell in the tournament semifinals.
