Bettye Boone Merritt, 83, Wallace, died Tuesday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Byrd’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Faison III officiating. Burial will be in Boone Family Cemetery in Magnolia.
She is survived by a daughter.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, an hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are by Rose Hill Funeral Home Inc.
