JUDITH H. SCOTT

Judith Yelverton Hooks Scott, 94, Goldsboro, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Mrs. Scott was born Nov. 9, 1923, on the family farm, in Fremont to the late Thomas Etheldred Yelverton and Ellen Davis Yelverton. She was married to the late Franklin Rudolph Hooks and the late William E. Scott.

Mrs. Scott loved her family, and the time she spent with her grandchildren, and their growing families.

Private graveside service for the family will be today in Wayne Memorial Park, with Jimmy Aycock presiding.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her son, Franklin Rudolph Hooks Jr. and Cheryl Crumpler, of Princeton; grandchildren Carrie Gallo and husband, Tom, of Hampstead and Robert Blair and wife, Amy, of Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, Grace Blair, Thomas Gallo, Garrett Blair, Hudson Gallo and Cameron King; and special friends, Marvin and Sara Best.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Gary Blair.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the National MS Society or to the Rheumatoid Arthritis | Arthritis Foundation.
