Trudy Faye Foley Barnes, 73, died Tuesday at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Born in Clinton, Tenn. to the late Charles Kiker Foley and Gladys Adkins Foley Nichols, and she was the wife of Walter "Barney" Barnes of Warsaw.
Funeral will be Saturday Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel. The family will visit with friends an hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sherri Lynn Finch, of Dudley and Jennifer Vinciguerra and her husband, David, of Pikeville; stepson, Mickel Barnes; stepdaughter Trish Delffs, of Tampa, Fla.; step son-in-law, Frank Jugo, of Tampa, Fla.;three sisters, Shelby Dorfer and husband, John, of Angier, Regina Nichols, of Southport and Vanessa Johnson, of Southport; a grandchild, Natalie Annelle Vinciguerra, step-grandchildren, Ryan Barnes, Robert and Sean Delffs, three step-great-grandchildren, Natalie Barnes, Brayden and Avina Delffs.
Trudy was preceded in death by her stepfather, Arnold Nichols, her stepdaughter, Denise Jugo; sisters, Dorothy Beck, Wilma Sue Schultze, Charlene Lane and Annelle Davis.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed towards St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.
