Percy Alvin Mayo, 79, died Sunday at Transitions Life Care Hospice in Raleigh.
Graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Kenly Cemetery.
He was born in Wilson County Feb. 17, 1937, to the late Luther and Adel Ward Mayo.
He is survived by two sons and three daughters.
Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
