William Minshew Jr., 86, of Stantonsburg passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 5, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
Mr. Minshew was born in Wayne County on Sept. 21, 1930, to the late William and Ada Kearney Minshew. He was a volunteer fireman with the Bullhead Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Minshew; one son, Timmy Minshew (Robin Smith) of Stantonsburg; two daughters, Tami Schaller and husband, Tom of Georgia and Terry Minshew and husband, Eric Barill of Greenville, N.C.; one sister, Thelma Sasser of Wilson; two grandchildren, T.J. Minshew and wife, Paige of Wilson and Stacey Lamm of Wilson; and two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Bryce.
