Eva Barwick Best, 88, of Jacksonville, N.C., passed away at her residence on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Jones Funeral Home chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Jerry D. Lewis and the Rev. Rick Moser officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Best. Survivors include her sons, Steve Best of Jacksonville and Phillip Best and wife, Cathy of Swansboro, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northwoods Methodist Church Building Fund, 1528 Gum Branch Road, Jacksonville, N.C. 28540.
