Elizabeth Powell, 74, Dudley, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Powell was born in Sampson County, N.C., Sept. 23, 1941, to the late Braston and Peralie Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Powell Sr.; one son, Allen C. Powell Jr. and wife, Sherrie, of Goldsboro; two daughters, Patricia Womble and her husband, Johnny, of Goldsboro and Melissa Powell of Texas; five grandchildren, Anthony Womble, Rebecca Adams, John Womble, Morgan and Kristen Powell; and five great-grandchildren, Patrick, Blake and Cierra Womble and Holden and Lucas Adams.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the mausoleum chapel at Wayne Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Jones Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1049 Country Club Road, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
