HILDA GRAY COPE

Hilda Gray Teague Cope, 90, Goldsboro, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Hilda was born in Durham County Nov. 19, 1925, to the late Kemp Cyril Teague and Ollie Mae Crowell Teague. She was married to the late William Charles Cope.

Hilda had retired from Caswell Center in Kinston, and was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church.

A service celebrating Hilda's life will be Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, with Dr. Robert Fulkerson officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Private interment will conclude the service in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.

Hilda is survived by her sister, Jean T. Dameron and husband, Stan, of Fayetteville; brother, Forrest H. Teague and wife, Holt, of Goldsboro; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews she loved very much.

In addition to her husband and parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria Jean Cope.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the 4-H Center, 208 W. Chestnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
