Frances Deloris Gray Lancaster, 81, Goldsboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

Frances was born in Wayne County on Dec. 5, 1933, to the late Carl and Annie Hopkins Gray.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norwood Brantley Lancaster.

Frances loved Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary and was a dedicated and faithful servant her entire life.

Her life was filled with humility, kindness and a love for others that she displayed every time she smiled.

Frances dedicated her life to serving her family unselfishly and to serving her Lord.

A service celebrating Frances' life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15, at Free Chapel P.F.W.B. Church with the Rev. Dock Hobbs, the Rev. Marvin Wiggins and the Rev. Reynolds Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Pikeville Cemetery.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Lancaster of Goldsboro; son, Douglas Lancaster and wife, Lori, of Goldsboro; and sisters, Sudie G. McCandless of Goldsboro and Elizabeth G. Faircloth of Kernersville.

In addition to her husband and parents, Frances was preceded in death by her sisters, Edna G. Anderson and Viola Hare; and brothers, Bert Gray and Lloyd Gray.

Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests memorials be given to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home.
