Retired SFC Harold Lee Moses Sr., 73, of 1502 Hart Circle, passed on Wednesday morning, Feb. 11, 2015, at home surrounded by his family.
The celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro.
He will be laid to rest in the Raleigh National Cemetery, 501 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610, with full military honors.
There will be a viewing held on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1942, in Wayne County, N.C., to Charlie and Helen Austin Moses.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie Wheeler Moses; two children, Harold Moses Jr. (Terrelyn) and Scarlett (Wilbert) Deans of Kileen, Texas; three stepchildren, Derrick (Cheryl) Wheeler of Leland, N.C., Renee Wheeler of Harrisonburg, Va., and Marcus Wheeler of Durham, N.C.; two sisters, Thelma Holloway of Goldsboro and Betty Jean Smith of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Charles Moses of Goldsboro; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
