Barbara Pope Digby, 69, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are her sons, Andrew Dale Digby, his wife, Mary, and Charles Benjamin Digby; sisters, Joyce P. Seigworth of Goldsboro, Euice P. Holland of Mauldin, S.C., and Pauline P. Wilder of Cary; a niece; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nellie Jones Pope and Elworth R. Pope.
She graduated Goldsboro High School class of 1962.
Barbara was bookkeeper and secretary for Evergreen Funeral Home, Cemetery and Cremation. And a number of years, was bookkeeper for the Girl Scouts of USA, North Carolina Coastal Pines.
She was avid reader, enjoyed classic movies and loved by all.
Graveside services Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 U.S. 70 West, Goldsboro. The Rev. John Howard will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the graveside.
