Mr. Larry Edward Norris, 71, 127 Doris Ave., Clinton, died at his home Saturday, May 17, 2014.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. at Royal Home Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Danny Powell officiating.
Born in 1942 in Johnston County, Mr. Norris was the son of the late Jarvis Edward and Grace Lee Norris.
He was a retired employee with Morris Associates as a mechanical engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Kersey Norris; a daughter, Diane Burchette and fiancé, Kevin Carroll of Clinton; two sons, Charles Edward Norris of Clinton and Brian Norris and wife, April, of Raleigh; a daughter-in-law, Cindi Norris of Clinton; three sisters, Gladys Norris and husband, Ron, of Corpus Christie, Texas, Linda Turner and husband, Ronald, of Mount Olive and Cathy Westbrook and husband, Frankie, of Clinton; brother-in-law, Donald Jackson of Clinton; three grandchildren, Jameson Burchette, Jenna Burchette and Ian Norris; a great-grandchild, Harley Trogden; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Norris and Ann Jackson, and two brothers, Ricky Norris and Laverne Norris.
The family will receive friends at Royal-Hall Funeral Home following the service and other times at his home.
