Eddie Donald Pittman, 85, Goldsboro, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Donald was born in Wilson County Oct. 10, 1928, to the late Herbert Pittman and Sue Pittman.
He was retired from Cherry Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with pastor Calvin Craft officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Donald is survived by his wife of 66 years, Faye Johnson Pittman; daughter, Joan Pittman; sisters, Ann Johnson of Kinston and Jean Williamson of Fremont; and brothers, Bobby Pittman of Kenly and Ennis Pittman of Kenly.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his son, Don Pittman; a sister, Earldeen Pope; and a brother, Ray Pittman.

The family will receive friends Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times, at the home.
