Irene L. Sutton, 83, 600 Sheridan Forest Road, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Graveside service will be Friday at noon at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Elizabeth City, with elder Timothy L. Dortch officiating.
She was born Dec. 26, 1930, to the late Avon and Blanche Howard, and was married to the late Willie F. Sutton.
She is survived by five children.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will assemble at 600 Sheridan Forest Road at 9 a.m. for the processional to the cemetery.
Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
