La Grange — Ina Ruth Langston, 93, of La Grange, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013.

Ina Ruth was born April 1, 1920, in Lenoir County to the late Jasper and Amy Ruth Garris Langston. A bookkeeper her entire adult life, Ina Ruth worked 40 years for W.T. Grant Company until their closing and then began working at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Ina Ruth was a lifelong member of Walnut Creek Free Will Baptist Church. She served as secretary-treasurer and taught Sunday School for 50 years.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at 2 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Ina Ruth is survived by two nieces, Katie Lang of La Grange and Kathryn Hechenbleikner of Atlanta; and a nephew, Charles Bell of Germantown, Tenn. In addition to her parents, Ina Ruth was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Langston Bell, Mildred Langston and Dorothy Langston Crocker.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com.
