GRANTHAM — Deloit Cotton Best, 28, passed away Monday evening.

Born in Wayne County, he was the son of Richard and Deane Cotton Best.

Cotton was a member of Eureka Christian Church, and a graduate of East Carolina University.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Eureka Christian Church, with the Rev. Frank Purvis officiating.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.

A private burial will take place at a later date in Cotton Family Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Hannah Best of Raleigh; a brother, Will Best of Grantham; and grandmother, Nannie Cotton Mills and husband, Roy of Grantham.

Cotton was preceded in death by grandparents, Deloit Cotton and Bill and Inez Best.
