LAGRANGE -- Davis Brent Wiggins, 35, LaGrange, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013.
Brent grew up on the family farm and farmed his entire life. He loved what the farming life epitomized.
Brent enjoyed collecting miniature tractor-trailers and farm tractors.
He was a member of Garris Chapel United Methodist Church, loved cooking on the grill, beach music and most of all, cherished time spent with his girls.
A service of remembrance will be held Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell and the Rev. Scott Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Brent is survived by his wife, Shanna Wilson Wiggins; four daughters, Deanna Spence, Jodi Wiggins, Sophie Wiggins and Zoey Wiggins; his parents, Jimmy and Maria Wiggins of LaGrange and Betsy and Glenn Outlaw of Goldsboro; two brothers, Scott Wiggins and wife, Jaime and Mitchell Wiggins all of LaGrange; maternal grandmother, Agnes Hart of Goldsboro; father and mother-in-law, J.W. and Myrtle Wilson of Kinston; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carrie and Stuart Harris and Amy and Jason Brinker all of Wilmington; grandmother-in-law, Edna Howard of Kinston; seven nieces and nephews, Mason Wiggins, Tucker Wiggins, Fisher Wiggins, Adler Wiggins, Grayson Harris, Maryn Harris and Bella Brinker; along with a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brent was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, R.D. Hart, and his paternal grandparents, James T. "Scrubby" Wiggins and Dell Wiggins.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home.
