MAGNOLIA -- George Walter Brogden, 63, of Magnolia, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Vidant-Pitt. Mr. Brogden was born Sept. 28, 1949 in Wayne County to the late Marvin and Pearl Bowden Brogden.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw. Visitation will follow the service. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at Devotional Gardens.
Mr. Brogden is survived by wife, Linda E. Brogden of the home; two sons, George W. Brogden, Jr. and wife, Kellie, of Thomasville, and Jeffrey Lynn Brogden of Magnolia; brother, Ray Brogden and wife, Ellen, of Mount Olive; sister Brenda B. Taylor and husband, Lavelle, of Mount Olive; and grandson, George W. Brogden III of Thomasville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 2711 Breezewood Ave., Fayetteville, NC 28303.
