BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Retired Army Staff Sgt. Bernard Harper Jr. recently passed Aug. 23, 2013, at the VA Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.
He was the son of Bernard and Alma Harper of Brooklyn, N.Y., and brother of Shirley Harper Wynn (Martell) of Dudley, N.C.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the VA Cemetery in Bath, N.Y.
He is survived by his wife, Nilsa, of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; son, Jerell of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and sister, Janice Cormier (Harry) of Lake Charles, La.
