MOUNT OLIVE -- Frederick "Fred" DuPuy, 74, of 315 Robert F. Hargrove Road, died Aug. 25, at the Miami VA Medical Center, Miami, Fla.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, with the Rev. John McPhatter as the eulogist. He will be laid to rest in the Sandhills Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake with military honors. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home.
He was born in Wayne County to the late James and Helen Battle DuPuy.
He is survived by his wife and children.
