LINDA DALE MOZINGO

Died Aug. 31, 2013

ROANOKE RAPIDS -- Linda Dale Mozingo, 71, Roanoke Rapids, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at her home surrounded by family and friends.

She was born in Wayne County, N.C., the daughter of the late George Dale E. Dale and Berniece C. Dale.

Preceding Linda in death were her husband, Roy Harold Mozingo; brother, Clarence Thomas Dale Sr.; and sister, Nellie Delores Dale.

Surviving Mrs. Mozingo are her daughter, Teresa Mozingo of the home; two brothers, David E. Dale and his wife, Bettie, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Ronnie Dale and his wife, Shirley, of Greenville, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Linda was the co-owner, along with Don and Amy Cagel, of Roanoke Truss Co. since 1984.

She was an outstanding member of the community, where she was a member of the Pilot Club of Roanoke Valley in which she served many offices, including governor of the North Carolina District.

Linda received several awards, among those, Pilot of the Year and Volunteer of the Year, and special recognition by the North Carolina governor for outstanding community service.

She also enjoyed working with Lifeline Systems, which helps elderly and handicapped citizens to remain living in their homes.

Linda will be remembered for the devotion to her family, generous spirit and kindheartedness and many loving memories by her family.

She also loved her two beautiful dogs, Rusty and Dusty.

Wrenn, Clarke and Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service is taking care of arrangements, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, in the chapel, with the Rev. Richard Gaskins and the Rev. Annie Marie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Wrenn, Clarke and Hagan Funeral Home Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, from 1:30 until the service time of 3 p.m.
