EMMIE PARRISH PITTMAN

KENLY -- Emmie Parrish Pittman, 89, passed away at Wilson Pines Nursing Center in Wilson, N.C., Wednesday, July 24, 2013.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Parrish and the late Cora Alice Sasser Parrish.
She was a member of Kenly Original Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Pittman; infant son, Baby Boy Pittman; her sisters, Carolyn Parrish, Edna Holmes, Mildred Meritt and Ellen Evans; and brothers, Archie Parrish and Gurney Parrish.
Ms. Pittman is survived by her son, Gerald Pittman and wife, Monica, of Kenly; her sisters, Dorothy Parrish of Goldsboro, Frances Hyde and husband, Larry, of Wilson and Elgia Parrish of Goldsboro; and her brothers, Wilton Parrish and wife, Pat, of Fremont and Paul Parrish and wife, Rachel, of Goldsboro.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at Minshew-Coley Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Aubrey Williamson officiating. Burial will occur in Kenly Cemetery immediately following the chapel service.
The visitation will be Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
