PIKEVILLE -- Betty Jean Kingsley, 72, went to be with her Lord Monday at her home.

Betty Jean was born in Hobart, N.Y., Nov. 10, 1940, to the late Raymond Kingsley and Lavilla Maybie Kingsley.

She had been an employee of the day care at Second Baptist Church, and later worked at Wayne Christian School.

Betty Jean was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Frasher officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Flat Creek Cemetery in Gilboa, N.Y.

Betty Jean is survived by her sister, Janet Kingsley Hallock of Middleburgh, N.Y.; her brother, Reggie Kingsley and wife, Lorraine, of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews, including Michael Kingsley and wife, Carrie, Machelle Kingsley and Marcie McCollim and husband, Timothy.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given to Grace Baptist Church, 1715 Royall Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

The family will receive friends Thursday following the funeral service at the funeral home and other times at the home of her brother and sister-in-law.
