NEWTON GROVE -- Mr. Martin B. Wilson, 90, 825 N. Johnson Road, passed Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at home.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m. at White Oak Disciples of Christ Church in Newton Grove, with bishop Charles J. Williams Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Newton Grove.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at the church.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Wilson; son, Coleman Wilson; and grandson, Torrey Wilson.
He is survived by his daughters, Luretha Lewis of Goldsboro, Rachel Hull of Roswell, Ga., Mary Wilson of Enfield, Emily Wilson, Deana Peaks and Portia Wilson all of Durham and Darlene Wilson of Goldsboro; sons, Conrad Wilson of Enfield, Steven Wilson of Augusta, Ga., and Porter Wilson of the home; sister, Lillie "Pat" Dickerson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
