CAROLYN JONES TAYLOR

CALYPSO -- Mrs. Carolyn Jones Taylor, 70, passed away early Monday morning, Dec. 31, 2012, while a patient at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held by the graveside on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Calypso Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Whitman will officiate.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roy Lee Taylor of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Jessica Taylor of Calypso; a granddaughter, Ainsley Taylor of Calypso; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara J. and Buddy Flowers of Calypso; a sister-in-law, Betty Lou Jones of Greenville; two other brothers-in-law, Harold Summerlin of Mount Olive, and Davis Sloan of Calypso; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Sudie Davis Jones; an infant sister; four brothers, Eldridge "Shug" Jones, Adrian Jones, Arnold Jones and Bernard Jones; and two sisters, Irene J. Summerlin and Thelma J. Sloan.
A homemaker of many years, she had, in years past, been employed by Mount Olive Tribune as office manager and was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mount Olive.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts may be made to the charity of one's choosing.
Friends and family will be received at the residence at 226 East Trade St. in Calypso.
