MOUNT OLIVE -- Alene Price Bell, 93, of 275 Red Hill Road, passed away early Friday morning, March 23, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held Saturday night, March 24, at Tyndall Funeral Home with visitation afterward. A committal and burial service will be held Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at Devotional Gardens of Warsaw with the Rev. Mickey Whitfield officiating.

This Seven Springs area native had been a long time resident of the Summerlin's Crossroads section of Duplin. She was a member of Rooty Branch Original Free Will Baptist Church with a long tenure of service, serving as church treasurer and in the ladies auxiliary.

Surviving are a son, Leslie James Bell Jr. of Mount Olive; two daughters, Judith Bell Crumpler of Pikeville, and Janis Bell Fuller of Winter Park, Fla.; three grandchildren, Robert Deans and wife, MaryEllen, Kevin Crumpler, and Brandy Luce and husband, Sterling; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alyce P. Kelly of Albertson and Sylvia P. Creel and husband, Jimmy, of Dudley; three brothers, Sydney Price of Seven Springs, Nelson Price and wife, Linda, of Lumberton, and Larry Price and wife, Allie, of Seven Springs; special friends, Cathy Rouse, Ann and Barry Stringer, Susan Potter, and Geneva Hardy; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie J. Bell; her parents, Andrew Titus and Johnnie Hines Price; two sisters, Geneva Price and Dollie P. Townsend; and five brothers, Aubrey, Stacey, Newby, Curtis, and Donald Price.
