MARY ANNA TAYLOR BRITT

Mary Anna Taylor Britt, 100, Parkstown community, passed away Feb. 20, 2012.
She was born in Best Grove community to the late Johnny and Flossie Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Othnal Britt Sr.
She was an 86-year member of Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Britt is survived by four daughters, Evelyn Staples (Wayne) of Kenbridge, Va., Remathia "Cook" Durham of Pikeville, Johnnie Britt Bishop of LaGrange and Mary Ruth Kornegay of Richmond, Va.; three sons, Martin Britt (Marie), Othaniel Britt Jr. (Shirley) and Carl Thomas Britt (Marilyn) of Hinsdale, N.H.; a sister, Luvenia Dockery of Radford; and two sisters-in-law, Elnora Grantham and Iantha Whitfield.
A service to celebrate Ms. Britt's life will be held Friday at noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with Joe Jackson officiating.
The remains will be at the church an hour prior to the funeral for viewing.
Burial will be at Old Mill Cemetery.
Official viewing will be Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
