Betty Frances Bass Jones, 86, went to be with her Lord Jan. 26, 2012, at Kitty Askins.

Betty Frances was born in Wilson County Dec. 3, 1925, to the late Mannie and Della Carter Bass.

For many years, Betty Frances served as a teacher for the Head Start program in Goldsboro.

She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, originally Oak Street Pentecostal Holiness. She will be remembered as a beautiful Christian woman and a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a homegoing service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Interment will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Betty Frances is survived by her son, Bobby Eugene Jones and his wife, Patricia; her grandchildren, John Gilbert Jones, Betty Frances Marquez and her husband, Jose, Susan Nobles and her husband, Daniel, Ashley Lee and her husband, Joe, and Danielle Wynn; her loving daughter-in-law, Rosita Jones; her sisters-in-law, Ellen Davis and Mary Jane Lewis; her nieces, Wanda Moore and husband, John, Teresa Kearney and her husband, Joseph, Mary Paulk and her husband, Wally, and Pam Davis; her nephews, Kim Davis, Timothy Anderson and Billy Anderson; and her caregiver and special friend of the family, Johnice Spencer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy Ray Jones; her sister, Bessie Lewis Crosby; and her brothers Willie Bass, Edgar Davis and Cecil Lewis.
