EDITH "PEGGY" VICK WADDELL
Edith "Peggy" Vick Waddell, 86, formerly of Kenly, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.
A funeral service will be held at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church today, Jan. 29, 2012, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Charles L. Renfrow officiating. Visitation will be from 2 until 2:45 p.m. today at Piney Grove FWB Church prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at the Kenly Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 16, 1925, in Wilson County to the late Guy and Ossie Overman Vick. She was married to the late Roy H. Waddell.
Ms. Waddell was a retired food service employee for Goldsboro city schools for 22 years, where she served as a manager for Greenleaf School, Virginia Street School and Goldsboro High School.
Ms. Waddell was survived by her son, Maxie Waddell of Goldsboro; five brothers, Jim Vick of Currituck, Lonnie Vick of Virginia, John Vick of California, James Vick of Virginia, and Lance Vick of Kenly; a sister, Lynn Boyette of Rocky Mount; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Mickey Waddell and wife, Carolyn.
Ms. Waddell was also preceded in death by two sisters, Billie Mattson and Ruth Vick, and a brother, Lester Vick.
