MARTHA B. "MARIE" KENNEDY

MOUNT OLIVE -- Martha B. "Marie" Kennedy, 84, died Thursday at Mount Olive Care and Rehab.
She was the daughter of the late William M. and Susan Bass, and the widow of Isham Bland and Robert Kennedy.
She is survived by two sons, William T. Bland and wife, Elizabeth, of Mount Olive and Jimmy D. Bland and wife, Diane, of New Bern; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by siblings, O.C. Bass and Jane Bass.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Faison Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Rose officiating.
The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., and at other times will be at the home of Timmy and Elizabeth Bland at 1772 Beautancus Road in Mount Olive.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Faison Baptist Church.
