TERRY RENATO BLOUNT

Terry Renato Blount departed from the earth to the heavens on Nov. 22, 2011, after a sudden illness.

He was born in Wayne County Aug. 20, 1955, to the late William Blount Sr. and Margaret Blount, better know as "Baby-sis." Terry spent most of his adult years in New York City, where he was employed for 18 years by the New York Traffic Enforcement Agency, which is a division on the New York City Police Department. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is proceded in death by his wife, Brenda Blount; daughter, Terri Renita Blount; two brothers, Eugene and Bernard Blount; and his sister, Joyce Marie Blount.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories five sons, Angelo Blount of Raleigh, Satorry Blount of Raleigh, Shimon Blount of Staten Island, N.Y., Komara Blount of Raleigh, Kamardy Blount of New York City; one daughter, Shimir Blount of Raleigh; one granddaughter, Tyquasia Blount of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one daughter-in-law, Ashanti Assent Blount of Raleigh; one brother, William Blount of Queens, N.Y.; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Green of Goldsboro, and Joyce Bryant of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers-in-law, Wilbert Bynum of Goldsboro, and Robert Lee Faison of Mount Olive; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family of Mr. Blount is receiving services of compassion and distinguished class from the president and staff of E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation, Inc.
