LAGRANGE -- Fred Marshall Wade, 56, LaGrange, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012.

Fred was born June 3, 1955, in Wayne County to Eunice Tilghman Wade of LaGrange and the late Kermit Marshall Wade.

Fred was a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School.

Fred was the owner/operator of Wade Dental Lab, and took great pride in his work.

Fred was an early riser, exhibited a fighting spirit in everything he tackled, and cherished time spent with his family and friends.

He was a member of the Carolina Classic Cruisers, and was a Ford man through and through. Fred was especially proud of his 1965 Mustang and the 1959 Ford truck belonging to his father that he restored and customized.

He enjoyed German Shepherds, taking care of his yard, working in his shop and, in earlier years, enjoyed golf.

A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.

In addition to his mother, Fred is survived by his wife of 10 years, Carla Sutton Wade; two sons, Dylan Marshall Wade and Tyler Curt Boone; sister, Yvonne Wade Rabon and husband, Sam, of Raleigh; father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Connie Sutton of LaGrange; nephew, Sammy Rabon and wife, Lisa, and their daughters, Taylor, Allyson and Mackenzie, of Raleigh; special family friends, Roger and Judy Moore, Leon and Judy Worthington and Donald and Helen Walston; along with a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service, and at other times will be at the home.
