Chester P. Simmons, 60, died Tuesday at Select Specialty Hospital in Durham.
Funeral will be Saturday at 5 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Horace Modlin officiating.
Visitation will follow the service.
Graveside service will be Sunday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
He was born in West Virginia to the late Joseph and Opal Silas Simmons, and was married to the late Brenda Simmons.
He is survived by four children.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory of Goldsboro is serving the family.
