BEN TUCKER

FAISON -- Ben Tucker, 91-year-old resident of 308 S. Sampson St., died Tuesday night at home.

A World War II veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Tucker was retired from Chas. F. Cates and Son Pickle Co./Dean Foods, where he was processing supervisor.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Faison United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jabe Larsen officiating. Burial will be in Faison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and at the residence at other times.

Mr. Tucker is survived by his beloved wife, Eleanor Stancil Tucker of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Joseph Kenyon and Michele and Bennie Grady all of Faison; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Noleen Tucker of Faison, Dean and Pam Tucker of Mount Olive and Donnie and Pam Tucker of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a sister, Eula Mae Sanderson of Rose Hill.

A son, Benny Ray Tucker, preceded him in death, as did his parents, seven brothers, and a sister.

Flowers are welcome; however, memorial gifts may be made to Faison United Methodist Church.
