MAE LUPTON NEAL

Elizabeth Mae Lupton Neal, 84, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

Mae was born in Pitt County Sept. 28, 1927, to the late Billy Lupton and Leona Hodge Lupton. She was married to the late Charles Edgar Neal Sr.

Mae was a longtime member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her church and was involved in many activities, where she utilized her gifts and abilities to share the love of God. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church, followed by a service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Vann Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mae is survived by her daughters, Gloria Braswell and Donna Davis and husband, Tim, both of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Mitchell of Goldsboro.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles E. Neal Jr.; her son-in-law, Rick Braswell; her sisters, Joyce Lanier, Katie Wright, Vivian Dudley and Helen Everette ;and her brothers, Lonnie Lupton, Mack Lupton, Vernon Lupton and Linwood Lupton.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Pine Forest United Methodist Church at 867 N.C. 581 South, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.

At other times, the family will receive friends at her home.
